Neutrogena Clear & Radiant Face Wash Review

Neutrogena Clear & Radiant Face wash with Vitamin C & Salicylic Acid.

If you want a straightforward cleanser for everyday use, this Neutrogena face wash does a decent job of removing light grime, excess oil and general mess your skin picks up through the day. It lathers well, feels fresh on the skin and leaves a classic just-washed finish I really liked. The texture is pleasant and it is easy to work into the skin without needing a lot of product.

The biggest plus is that it feels genuinely cleansing without being awkward to use. Some budget face washes feel slimy, leave a film behind and need loads of rinsing. This one is simple. The bottle itself is practical and the price is fair for what you get. There is also a brightness factor after rinsing. Not a dramatic make-over, obviously, but skin can look and feel a lot fresher and less dull straight away. For oily and combination skin, that clean finish may feel satisfying, especially in the evening before you go to bed.

The main downside is the fragrance. If you like your cleanser to feel fresh and fruity, you may enjoy it. If your skin is on the sensitive site, or you just don’t want added scent in your routine - this could be a deal-breaker. The formula can also feel a touch stripping if you use it too often or use it with other products which have active ingredients.

That is really the issue here - it cleans well, but it is not especially gentle. So while it is fine for some people as a basic wash, but it will not suit everyone.

If you are looking for affordable face wash that gives a proper clean and not fussed about a fragrance - it is a reasonable pick.

If your skin prefers milder formulas - I would skip it and find something less scented and maybe less drying if you use it too often.

Actually it is not a terrible cleanser as I was happy with it but for me it is not a must-buy either. It is good for quick, fresh cleanse, fairly priced, easy to use and lovely fragrance but as I say it might put some people off. If you like your skincare simple and your cleanser squeaky-clean, it may suit you. If you want comfort first - keep looking for another one.
